Introduction to Pizza Workshop

Introduction to Pizza Workshop - Make Great Pizza At Home

£79 | 3 hours | Max 10 people

This practical course teaches you how to make excellent pizza using either a dedicated pizza oven or a conventional domestic oven available at home. You may have the opportunity to use a spiral mixer when working with dough, however hand kneading will be demonstrated to keep the need for expensive specialist equipment at home to a minimum at this stage of your pizza journey.

You’ll learn how to make and ferment pizza dough, how to stretch it properly, and how to balance sauces and toppings for the best results. We cover both same-day and longer fermentation methods, so you can choose what suits your schedule and current ability.

The course takes place at Ratton Pantry and runs for two and a half hours. You’ll bake and eat pizza during the session, take dough home with you, and receive a simple recipe pack so you can recreate everything in your own kitchen.

There will be an opportunity for a short Q&A at the end of the session, and to browse a range of pizza ingredients that Ratton Pantry has to offer.

Who would this course suit? Complete beginners or those with limited knowledge of pizza making. At or near the start of their pizza journey.

The workshop will include:

  • Complimentary coffee, tea, or soft drinks on arrival
  • Same-day & long-fermentation pizza dough
  • Stretching & shaping
  • Sauce, topping balance, and baking methods
  • Eat together at the end
  • Recipe pack + dough to take home
  • Q&A session and pizza ingredients browse/purchase opportunity.

Workshop Host: Josh, Pizzaioli & Owner of Boella Co.

Course location: Ratton Pantry, Unit 6 White Knight Business Park, Hammonds Drive, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN23 6FB
