Marriage's Chelmer is a strong white flour milled from wheats grown locally to their Chelmsford mill, in Essex. It is ideal for sourdoughs and pre-fermented breads.

Please note: quantities purchased that are less than 25kg will be decanted into our plain, food grade, flour bags in our 5 “Very Good” Food Hygiene rated facility.

Decanted bags will come labeled with flour type, batch number and expiry date/best before dates and will contain the exact flour as per this product listing.

Buying decanted flour is an excellent way to sample the product in smaller quantities before purchasing bulk sacks.

About Marriage's

W&H Marriage & Sons Ltd has been milling flour in Essex since 1824. Marriage's was founded by twins William and Henry nearly 200 years ago. Today the fifth and sixth generations of the Marriage family continue the milling tradition.

Marriages source only the best wheat, much of it from farmers within 30 miles of Chelmer Mills, including their own arable farms. When necessary, they add quality international wheats into their grists. Marriages flour is produced using a combination of the traditional techniques they have trusted for generations and the best modern milling technology.
